$600K Talent & Sports Academy Set for Construction in Kenya’s Suba-South
The Sports Cabinet Secretary performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Talent and Sports Academy of Suba-South Constituency on Wednesday, which will be located at Magunga Primary School.
The innovative Ksh 55 million initiative focuses on capitalizing on talent and improving lives by systematically identifying, discovering, and promoting our athletes onto the international platform.
The facility will feature an eight-lane athletic track, soccer, basketball, and netball fields, along with two locker rooms, a borehole and water amenities, and a social hall. This substantial upgrade will enhance the area for both the nearby residents and the broader community.
CS Mvurya instructed the contractor to prioritize hiring local residents for job opportunities throughout the duration of the project.
While commissioning NG CDF projects along with Suba South MP Hon. Kalori Omondi, CS Mvurya praised the lawmaker’s consistent dedication to bringing progress to his constituency.
He also commended the residents of Suba-South for wholeheartedly supporting the government’s comprehensive and wide-ranging development plan.
He maintained that by working together and actively engaging in governance, progress would have a significant impact on everyone.
Mvurya took a stab at the opposition calling on the locals to disregard their agenda saying they are out to divide the country.
He further explained that the 700 Million Raila Odinga International Stadium, which has reached 90% completion in construction, is scheduled for turnover within the next two weeks, coinciding with the Madaraka Day festivities.
