This year, Southeast Asia was prominently featured on TripAdvisor’s list of the top 10 beaches in Asia, claiming seven places. Notably, Thailand secured three positions, while both the Philippines and Indonesia earned two spots each.

The top position was secured by Banana Beach on Koh Hey (Coral Island), situated at the southernmost part of Phuket.

Renowned for its extensive expanse of pristine white sands and turquoise-blue waters, this beach stays largely undisturbed because of the lack of eateries and tourist-oriented facilities.

The Kelingking Beach in Indonesia secured the second spot due to its dramatic cliff formations, fine white sands, and vibrant turquoise waters.

From this vantage point, the cliffs encircling Kelingking Beach look akin to the backbone of a massive creature or perhaps a bellowing dinosaur. Local eateries nearby offer classic Indonesian cuisine, including popular options such as fried seafood rice combined with shrimp, frequently served alongside crispy shrimp crackers.

Panay Island’s White Beach ranked fourth in the list.

Extending over four kilometers, this beach is renowned for its fine white sands, crystal-clear azure waters, and stunning sunset views.

“The spot is ideal for swimming and snorkeling, and once you’re ready to eat, numerous local eateries and bars are within walking distance,” as stated by Tripadvisor.

The White Sand Beach, a 2.6-kilometer long unspoiled shoreline located on the Pak Weep Coast north of Khao Lak’s Pakarang Cape in Thailand, secured the seventh position.

“Leisurely strolls along Long Beach are ideal, and the tepid waters offer a pleasant swimming experience,” according to TripAdvisor.

The Nacpan Beach in the Philippines, an expansive four kilometers of creamy sands flanked by coconut palms and clear turquoise waters on Palawan Island, ranked eighth.

Snorkeling, surfing, or just admiring the beautiful sunset are some activities you might consider. For those looking to prolong their time at this paradise-like location, local beachside accommodations were recommended by TripAdvisor.

The Phra Nang Cave Beach in Thailand, an idyllic stretch with pristine white sand enveloped by steep limestone cliffs at the southernmost part of the Railay Peninsula within Krabi Province, claimed the ninth spot.

The striking rock structures create an impressive setting for both swimming and sunbathing activities.

Completing the top 10 list is Pantai Melasti, situated in Bali’s Uluwatu area near the southern tip of the Bukit Peninsula.

The shoreline, extending for more than a kilometer, is flanked by towering limestone cliffs.

Previously a remote hidden treasure, Melasti has undergone considerable development aimed at enhancing access without compromising its inherent charm and allure.

The 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards are determined by analyzing the number and caliber of travel reviews posted internationally on TripAdvisor from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2024. This accolade recognizes locations that boast top scores, spotlighting spots that have won over global voyagers.

In Asia’s top 10 list, we find Haeundae Beach from South Korea at number three, Radhanagar Beach from India ranking fifth, and Bentota Beach also from Sri Lanka placing sixth.

Based on TripAdvisor, this year’s top beaches offer “a perfect getaway.”
