U.S. to Boost Tariffs Globally: An International Update
As reported by CNN quoting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the United States could initiate separate talks with specific nations for crafting fresh trade deals. Nonetheless, these discussions would start solely post the enforcement of US tariffs on key trading allies.
He observed that the Trump administration would set up a fresh state of affairs, following which the U.S. could enter into negotiations should other nations be open to doing so.
We will apply retaliatory tariffs on all nations proportional to what they levy on us – these measures aren’t targeted at Canada, nor Mexico, nor the European Union; they affect everybody,
Rubio said.
Furthermore, as stated by the Secretary of State, the United States could pursue bilateral trade talks that hold mutual appeal for the involved parties.
From this equitable and reciprocal foundation, we could ultimately enter into bilateral negotiations with nations worldwide to establish new trade agreements that benefit all involved.
he concluded.
