MotoGP rookie
Ai Ogura
has been excluded from the Argentine Grand Prix scheduled for Sunday due to a technical issue with his Trackhouse Aprilia.
This ruling implies that the Japanese competitor will forfeit his remarkable eighth position, which he fought hard for after starting at the 15th spot on the grid, as well as the eight points associated with that placement.
As stated by the stewards on Sunday evening at Termas de Rio Hondo, the squad had been utilizing non-compliant software throughout the grand prix.
As stated in the official document, Ogura was discovered to be utilizing a software version (V21 b102) that had not received approval from the Championship authorities.
This violates Section 2.4.3.5.3 of the FIM Grand Prix World Championship Regulations concerning the Electronic Control Unit and Inertial Measurement Unit.

Paradoxically, Ogura’s absence from the outcomes unexpectedly awards a point to his underperforming teammate at Trackhouse.
Raúl Fernández
, moving up to 15th position in the updated standings. This advancement unlocks Fernandez’s point tally for the season.
Unlike Fernandez, Ogura has enjoyed an outstanding beginning to the year, marking his debut in MotoGP following his time in Moto2.
Two weeks ago, Ogura secured fifth place at the Thai Grand Prix, complementing his fourth-place finish during the sprint race that kicked off the season.
The 17-point haul he picked up in Asia means he still lies eighth in the points standings despite a zero-score in Argentina, where he could only manage 15th in the sprint.
