Mets Prospect Watch: June 22, 2025 — Dr. J Leads the Way

Triple-A:

Syracuse Mets

(30-44)

JACKSONVILLE 4, SYRACUSE 2 (
BOX
)

After having snapped their ten-game losing streak Friday night, Syracuse might be on their way to starting a new one with their second loss against the Jumbo Shrimp last night in as many games. Nolan McLean pitched decently, allowing two runs over five innings, but the bullpen let him and Syracuse down. With the score tied 2-2, Dakota Hawkins allowed an unearned run to score in the seventh and Dom Hamel allowed an earned run to score in the ninth.

Double-A:

Binghamton Rumble Ponies

(44-22)

BINGHAMTON 5, HARRISBURG 0 (
BOX
)

Jonah Tong allowed three baserunners: TRAID! Even though the right-hander ONLY threw 7.2 scoreless innings and ONLY stuck out 11, the Rumble Ponies managed to eke out a victory in this one. Ryan Clifford and Nick Lorusso drove in a run apiece in the fourth, Omar De Los Santos drove in a pair on a two-run homer in the fifth, and Nick Morabito scored on a wild pitch in the ninth for good measure.

High-A:

Brooklyn Cyclones

(47-21)

ABERDEEN 7, BROOKLYN 3 (
BOX
)

R.J. Gordon didn’t exactly cruise through the first few innings, but the first time through the order, he scattered a handful of hits and allowed a single run. In the bottom of the fourth, the wheels came off. He allowed a few hits, walked a few batters, and before you know it, five runs came home to score. The Cyclones chipped away, scoring runs in the fifth and sixth but weren’t able to mount a comeback.

Single-A:

St. Lucie Mets

(36-31)

ST. LUCIE 2, PALM BEACH 0 (
BOX
)

St. Lucie managed only three hits and didn’t even really make them count but still managed to win thanks to some phenomenal pitching. Wellington Aracena threw five scoreless innings and gave way to the rehabbing Brooks Raley and Franklin Gomez, who both did the same, completing the shutout.
