Pakistan
‘s
Khushdil Shah
was fined 50% of his match fees on Monday for a Level 2 violation
ICC
Conduct Guidelines for the First T20 International Match
New Zealand
and
Pakistan
in Christchurch on Sunday.

According to
ICC
, Khushdil violated Article 2.12 of the regulations.
ICC
Player Code of Conduct, concerning “improper physical contact involving a player, member of the support staff, umpire, match referee, or another individual (such as a spectator at an international game).”

The event occurred during the eighth over.
Pakistan
Khushdil’s innings came to an end when he collided forcefully with bowler Zakary Foulkes from behind. This action was categorized as ‘inappropriate physical contact involving significant force’ and was considered ‘reckless, careless, and preventable.’

Khushdil agreed with the penalties imposed by the umpires and Match Referee Jeff Crowe, thus eliminating the necessity for an official hearing.

In addition to the fine, three penalty points have been recorded against Khushdil’s disciplinary file, as this marked his initial violation within the past 24 months.

If four or more penalty points are amassed within 24 months, these points convert into suspension points. For every two suspension points, the player faces disqualification from either one Test match, two ODI matches, or two Twenty20 Internationals, whichever occurs earliest in their schedule.

It turned out to be an unremarkable experience for
Pakistan
On Sunday, during their departure after scoring only 91 runs in Salman Ali Agha’s inaugural match as the permanent T20I captain.

New Zealand
Jacob Duffy’s (4/14) and Kyle Jamieson’s (3/8) bowling partnership ripped through the opposition.
Pakistan
In the revamped lineup, Khushdil emerged as the leading scorer with 32 points, followed by Captain Agha who scored 18, and Jahandad Khan contributing 17 points, making them the only players to score over ten points.

In response,
New Zealand
sailed to victory, as Tim Seifert hammered an impressive 44 off just 29 balls. Although Abrar Ahmed got rid of Seifert towards the close of the Powerplay, the game was essentially decided. Finn Allen contributed 29*, and Tim Robinson added 18* before they easily steered the Black Caps past the finish line with nine wickets remaining and 59 deliveries left unused, thereby taking a commanding 1-0 lead in the best-of-five series.
