Marie-Galante’s Heavenly Beaches: An International Edition
Perhaps Marie-Galante’s best-kept secret is that the island known for being as flat as a pancake harbours some of the most gorgeous beaches in Guadeloupe!
Adjacent to the western coastline in
Marie-Galante
Anse Canot Beach embodies the quintessential vision of a tropical paradise with its pristine white sands, swaying palms overhead, and the mesmerizing azure waters of the Caribbean extending as far as the eye can see. Located south of Saint-Louis, Trois-Îlets Beach offers an enchanting encounter from June through September when sea turtles transform this coastline into a nesting ground. Participate in one of the exclusive night-time turtle-watching excursions arranged by the French National Forests Office (ONF) alongside the Ecolambda association.
The top beach destination on the island is La Feuillère, located on the southern coastline. Make sure to visit one of the delightful seaside eateries here for some just-cooked spiny lobsters as you enjoy the expansive shore. If tranquility is what you’re after, head north towards Capesterre and follow the Chemin des Galets path, which within half an hour will lead you to the secluded paradise known as Anse Feuillard. This area boasts a safeguarded lagoon teeming with vibrantly colored fish eager to meet scuba enthusiasts exploring nature’s very own aquatic gallery.
