On Valentine’s Day, February 14th, staff from Vivo Energy Ghana paid a visit to the Chosen Rehabilitation Centre with an aim to share love and compassion. They provided necessary items along with beads and tools needed for making them, initiating a skill-building program designed to help the center’s residents become more self-reliant.

In April, the skills training program successfully concluded, with Vivo Energy Ghana once more attending the closing ceremony to honor the trainees’ accomplishments and instill a enduring sense of pride and achievement among them.

The practical bead crafting workshops led by experienced instructors from Engage Africa provided participants with essential technical abilities, creative thinking, discipline, and independence. These skills helped attendees establish a base for self-sufficiency and earning potential as they reintegrate back into their communities.

At the event, the Managing Director of Vivo Energy Ghana, Christian Li, praised the women for their dedication throughout the training. He said, “We are delighted to support each one of you as you conclude this phase of learning and development. We at Vivo Energy Ghana firmly believe that genuine empowerment arises when individuals receive the necessary resources and chances to realize their full potential.”

“This training goes beyond just teaching crafts; it’s also about forging a path towards dignity, confidence, and a new beginning. The showcase today is a testament to our resilience, creativity, and rediscovered sense of purpose,” he mentioned.

The conclusion of the training program was celebrated with a vibrant exhibit at the rehab center, where participants enthusiastically displayed an extensive collection of beaded crafts ranging from jewelry to ornamental items. This showcase signified the successful end of the course and demonstrated their preparedness for future endeavors armed with new abilities.

The Corporate Communications Manager at Vivo Energy Ghana, Shirley Tony Kum, showed confidence in the abilities gained by the participants: “At Vivo Energy Ghana, real energy comes from inspiring hope and transforming lives. We achieve this through the

For numerous apprentices, this marked their initial encounter with crafting by hand, producing exquisite items such as necklaces, bracelets, bags, and keychains. Every bead threaded symbolized hope, endurance, and the conviction that existence beyond these confines might transform for the better.

They showed great gratitude to Vivo Energy Ghana for the
